Under the “Families on the Fly” campaign, TSA now offers special lanes at security checkpoints for travelers with children, piloted at Orlando and rolling out to major family-friendly airports nationwide.
Dedicated Family Lanes
Uniformed active-duty service members—and their families—can now use dedicated Honor Lanes, available at 11 airports initially and soon expanding across the U.S.
These measures aim to minimize wait times, ease the checkpoint process for families and honor military personnel, all while maintaining robust security screening. It builds on recent TSA improvements, such as the no-shoe rule and ongoing modernization efforts.
Parents and kids can now breeze through security in a more streamlined, family-focused lane. Military members and families receive faster access thanks to designated Honor Lanes and valuable discounts.
Gold Star families and military spouses benefit from free or discounted TSA PreCheck enrollment along with expanded accessibility.
